Read Faster, One Word at a Time

Normal reading is slow because your eyes have to scan across lines, jump to the next line, find your place. All that movement takes time.

Speed reading shows you one word at a time in the center of your screen. Your eyes stay still. Words come to you. You read faster because you're not scanning - you're just processing.

Learn how to use Speed Reading

  • Text to Speech - Listen to text while reading for better comprehension and retention.
  • Auto Scroll - Let the page scroll automatically while you focus on reading.
  • Reading Mode - Remove distractions to concentrate fully on the content.

Control the Pace

You decide how fast words appear:

  • 200 WPM: Comfortable, relaxed reading
  • 300-400 WPM: Faster than normal reading
  • 500+ WPM: Significantly faster, takes practice
  • 1000+ WPM: For trained speed readers

Start slow and increase as you get comfortable.

Customize the Experience

Font size: Make words bigger or smaller.

Colors: Choose text and background colors that work for you.

Phonetics: Optionally show pronunciation guides.

Pause/Resume: Stop whenever you need to.

Does It Actually Work?

This technique is called RSVP (Rapid Serial Visual Presentation). It eliminates the time your eyes spend moving between words. Whether it works for deep comprehension is debated, but for getting through straightforward content quickly, many people find it effective.

It's not magic - you're trading some comprehension for speed. Works better for some content than others.

I have been trying to find ways to make my child happy to go to school again, and someone recommended helperbird. She loves helperbird, and she is now much happier about the idea of returning to school. I think this might be a game changer, as they do so much web based schoolwork and research. She says they really understand people with dyslexia
