This guide walks you through the steps for installing and setting up the Helperbird extension or iOS app using Family Sharing.
It also includes instructions on turning off Screen Time restrictions during installation and re-enabling them afterward.
Turn Off Screen Time Content & Privacy Restrictions for the Child
1. Open Settings
Open the Settings app on your iOS device.
2. Go to Screen Time
Scroll down and tap on Screen Time.
3. Enter Your Passcode
Enter your Screen Time Passcode if it is set.
4. Access Content & Privacy Restrictions
Tap on Content & Privacy Restrictions.
5. Turn Off Restrictions
Turn off the switch if it's currently enabled.
Install the Helperbird Extension/iOS App
1. Open the App Store
Open the App Store on your iOS device.
2. Search for Helperbird
Tap on the search bar at the bottom and type Helperbird, then tap the search button.
3. Select the Helperbird App
Tap on the Helperbird app in the search results.
4. Download the App
Tap Get to start the installation. Enter your Apple ID password or use Touch ID/Face ID if prompted.
Enable the Helperbird Extension
1. Open Settings
After installation, go to your device's settings.
2. Find Helperbird
Scroll to find Helperbird, then tap on it.
3. Allow Access
Ensure all options under Allow Helperbird to Access are toggled on.
Turn On Screen Time Content & Privacy Restrictions (Important)
1. Open Settings
Open Settings on your iOS device.
2. Go to Screen Time
Scroll down and select Screen Time.
3. Enter Your Passcode
Enter your Screen Time Passcode if set.
4. Access Content & Privacy Restrictions
Tap on Content & Privacy Restrictions.
5. Re-enable Restrictions
Enable the switch for Content & Privacy Restrictions.
