How to Use Text Analytics in Helperbird Editor
Learn how to access detailed writing statistics in Helperbird Editor, including word count, character count, reading time, and more to help you analyze and improve your writing.
What is Text Analytics?
Text Analytics gives you detailed statistics about your writing. You can see how many words, characters, and sentences you have written, plus estimates for how long it will take to read or speak your text.
Who is This For?
This feature is helpful for:
- Students writing essays with word count requirements
- Writers who need to track document length
- Content creators who need specific word counts
- Anyone who wants to estimate reading time
- People preparing speeches who need timing information
Step 1: Open Helperbird
Click the Helperbird icon in your browser toolbar. It looks like a small owl and is usually in the top-right corner of your browser.
This will open the Helperbird menu.
Step 2: Open the All Features Section
Scroll down to the bottom of the Helperbird menu. You will see a section called All Features.
Click the arrow next to All Features to expand it and show all available features.
Step 3: Find Writing Tools
Look through the list of features until you see Writing tools.
Step 4: Open the Editor
Click on Writing tools to open it.
In the Writing tools panel, click on Editor to open the Helperbird text editor.
A new tab will open with the editor where you can write or paste your text.
Step 5: View Text Analytics
Once you have text in your editor, click the Text statistics button in the toolbar.
A window will open showing detailed analytics about your writing:
- Words – Total word count in your document
- Characters – Total number of characters including spaces
- Sentences – Number of sentences in your text
- Reading time – Estimated time to read your text
- Speaking time – Estimated time to speak your text aloud
- Writing time – Estimated time it took to write your text
Tip: Use Text Analytics to check if your writing meets specific requirements like word limits for essays or to estimate how long your content will take readers to consume.
