Why Report an Issue?

If something is not working correctly in Helperbird, reporting the issue with your debug information helps the support team diagnose and fix the problem much faster. Debug information includes details about your browser, extension version, and current settings — it does not include any personal data.

Step 1: Open Helperbird

Click the Helperbird icon in your browser toolbar. It looks like a small owl and is usually in the top-right corner of your browser.

This will open the Helperbird menu.

Step 2: Open the Settings Page

Click the gear icon in the top-left corner of the Helperbird menu. This will open the Settings page. You will see an Info section with your version number, sync toggle, and links to the Roadmap, Help, and Report an issue.

Step 3: Click Report an Issue

In the Info section of the Settings page, find the Report an issue row and click the View button next to it.

A panel will appear showing your debug information.

Step 4: Copy the Debug Information

Click the Copy button to copy all the debug information to your clipboard. This includes your browser type, extension version, and current feature settings.

Step 5: Send It to Support

Go to the Helperbird support page and send a message describing your issue. Paste the debug information you copied into your message. Be sure to also include:

  • What you were trying to do
  • What happened instead
  • The website where the issue occurred (if applicable)

The more detail you provide, the faster the support team can help.

Tip: If a feature is not working on a specific website, include the website URL in your report. Some websites have restrictions that can affect how Helperbird works.

Huge fan of the zoom feature. It trumps the native zoom in your browser since the zoom level you set actually stays with you no matter what page you go to, which is very helpful and meshes well with the other features the app offers.

This is a great little extension, lightweight and non intrusive. With dyslexia its reading that's an issue, not the underlying intelligence. An aid such as this one, can help deliver the world to some who may not otherwise have received it. Great Work.

Helperbird offers a wide range of customization in one easy to navigate spot. Computers and dyslexia don't always mesh, the features like ruler makes reading text heavy web pages easier. Tech support is amazingly responsive should you need any help.
