What is the Admin Dashboard?

The Helperbird admin dashboard gives administrators a clear view of how Helperbird is being used across their school or district. It shows total users, usage trends, and which features are being used most.

What You Can See

The dashboard includes:

Yearly Breakdown

Total users, total views, and overall adoption for the current year.

Last Week

New users and uninstalls from the past 7 days so you can track week-over-week growth.

Last 14 Days

New users and uninstalls from the past two weeks.

Last Quarter

New users and uninstalls from the past 90 days for a longer-term view of adoption.

Recent Users

A list of the most recent users, showing their domain and how many times they have used Helperbird. This helps you see which schools and organizational units are actively using the extension.

Most Used Features

A breakdown of which Helperbird features are being used most. This helps you understand how students and staff are benefiting from the tool.

License Management

Helperbird licenses are managed through Google Admin Console or Microsoft Intune, not through the Helperbird dashboard itself. This integrates directly with your existing device and user management workflows.

Google Admin Console:

  1. Go to Devices > Chrome > Apps & extensions.
  2. Select the organizational unit you want to license.
  3. Force-install Helperbird and add your subscription key to the JSON policy.
  4. All users in that OU are automatically licensed.

Microsoft Intune:

  1. Push the Helperbird extension and subscription key to your target user groups or devices.
  2. Helperbird activates automatically on managed devices.

When you add or remove users from your organizational unit or device group, their Helperbird access updates automatically. There is no separate license assignment step inside Helperbird.

How to Access the Dashboard

The admin dashboard is set up for your organization by the Helperbird team. Contact us at Helperbird support and we will get your dashboard ready.

Once set up, you will receive a link to access your dashboard. The dashboard updates automatically and does not require any installation.

What People Are Saying

I have ADHD and yesterday Helperbird and the text-to-speech function (available in free version) turned a 28-page reading assignment from a two-day task to roughly two hours, maybe three at the absolute most. It helped tremendously! And I loved that the text-to-speech has such a fluid voice compared to a lot of others I've used! Honestly, the fact that this was created by someone who knows the struggles is something I love, because then it has neurodivergency in mind. I've tried too many things in the past that were created by neurotypical folk trying to be helpful to us and I do appreciate it, but it doesn't work as well because our brains work different. Highly recommend!

Where to start! Firstly, I'd like to thank Robert (the developer) for his generosity - the app is extremely cheap as apps go. It is very apparent that this app is a labour of love - Robert is constantly working on it and improving things, adding new features, etc. As someone with ADHD and ASD, I have always had to piece-meal together the features I need to help me study effectively - half a dozen different apps / extensions, and even then they don't quite meet my expectations. Helperbird, however, offers SO MUCH more, and all in one place - you can finetune your experience to your heart's desire. The features I particularly love are summarise, simplify, sticky notes, highlighting, and the amazing immersive reader with TTS. I can't sing Helperbird's praises enough. Thank you, Robert, for such a thoughtful - and genuinely helpful - app. You are empowering the neurodivergent everywhere.

Immersive Reader from Microsoft is amazing, but my friends in Google districts were missing out until I found Helperbird. Great for proofreading! Simply highlight the text and have it read back to you, change the spacing in your view, highlight parts of speech, even translate by word or by document to have it read to you and adjust the speed! So amazing that I posted a YouTube tutorial within days of installing it. Plus, unlike many extensions, it didn't ask for obnoxious permissions like asking to delete everything in my Google Drive. #Winner #a11y

My son has dyslexia and has been struggling with parts of distant learning over the last year. We recently discovered this software and he is loving everything about it, especially with the ease of following directions and completing his assignments! We have used several other tools but this has everything a dyslexia person needs all in one bundle! The upgrade is definitely worth it to make our daily struggles, on the computer, run much smoother. I also greatly appreciate customer support (helpdesk). They went above and beyond to make sure we were all set up on the computer for my son to most successful.
